WIP had this little kit for years. I think it had been a gift. I pulled it out last year and got it stitched and put it back in a drawer. Found it again this year when I started to decorate for Christmas, and thought won't this look nice with a few beads. When I took it to get framed they had this cute frame. People have asked and I can't find the pattern

Friday went to Craft Gallery in Findlay and picked up a couple of samplers they had framed for me. They do a great job. The first is the birth sampler for my granddaughter(Rosewood Manor) and the other is this years Mystery Sampler from LHN Song of the Seasons. I dropped off a couple more pieces to get framed at the time. I'm trying to get some of my pile of ornaments finished. Finishing is always the hardest part for me trying to get them to look perfect. Yesterday morning went to breakfast with 9 ladies I use to work with in the OR. They all look great and are doing well in retirement Several are involved in volunteering only 1 is still working part time. It was really great to see them. Today I really need to get started on Christmas cards, off I go

Getting into the spirit

Finally getting into Christmas this year now the Thanksgiving is done. Been working on some Christmas ornaments, trying some new ideas and gifts for friends. Below are some old and new ornaments and an idea for gift tags for this year. The Raggedy Ann and Andy were made by my Aunt Marion for my son the he was born 1986 I bring them out every Christmas.

Shopping for the last 2 days for Thanksgiving. running around trying to get everything together. Got a nice surprise when I got home yesterday Adam and his friend Mark got the tree down from the attic and had it all decorated.

Welcomed my first grandchild yesterday Miss Vivian 6lbs8oz. Everyone is doing great. My son fell in love and Miss Vivian rules, really cute to see.

2 weeks with this cold really tired of it. Not getting much done around here . Had wanted to put a couple of projects in the fair but didn't get them back from the framers in time. Some of the pieces down there were beautiful there are a couple of ladies who did some really nice work.Weather is beautiful more like fall than summer. Needleworker from LHN. 

  It has been way too hot the last week to get anything done outside water everything early in the morning and pull a few weeds is about it. Thank god for air conditioning 

  Working on SPRING QUAKERS  from Rosewood Manor. Doing alot of stitching and reading (Immortals After Dark series). My favorite local craft store Craft Gallery in Findlay had a moving sale a couple of weeks ago, now all stocked up for the next few months. Excited that Paula emailed yesterday that 2 of my samplers(Quaker Diamonds and Elizabeth Hancock) will finish being framed next week. Had been waiting for a couple months for the one, the frame I wanted was backordered from company. 

Landscaping

Well we finished landscaping the front. The neighbors took all the hostas and sod that I took out to use a their place(she was trilled to get it he not so much) looks good around. Other neighbors saying I make them look bad, joking I think.

Progress on my cross stitch. Busy going to landscape the front yard. My son is just trilled with what I have planned for him today.

Flowers from my garden

  I'm a retired nurse getting back into cross stitch and really enjoying it. I have finally got my sewing room finished and want to start quilting. I have a sampler out being framed and just started another "Quaker Diamonds"
   Right now with the weather so nice have been really busy putting in flowers and getting ready to plant vegetable garden. I want my son to come down and finish putting in the mulch otherwise I'll put my back out again. The yard and flower beds are really starting to come together.
