Happy New Year to all
Haven't had much time for blogging over the holidays. Be having a great time watching my granddaughter 3-4/days a week. She's 16 mos now and alot of fun. When my son was little I was working all the time and missed some of the enjoyment. Being a grandparent is different than being the parent and I do enjoy it.
Still cross stitching away working on Rosewood Manor's Cornwall Cottage. Now starting SAL of Delaware Inspiration Sampler with the Swan Sampler Guild. I have never done an online SAL before and they are based in Salt Lake and I'm in OH should be interesting.
Here are some pic's of bigger pieces I finished last year

Just got these back from the framer yesterday. Trying to get all framing finished before starting the spring  gardening projects. Doing more landscaping this spring. Wondering if bushes I put in last summer survived the extreme winter that we have had, I know that I at least lost a couple

Contemplation
Having an evening of quiet contemplation with a V&T. Temp at OMG minus 40 below wind chill winter with snow drifts almost to my shoulders, spending the afternoon chipping through 3" of ice on the driveway...where is global warming when you need it?? Here's progress on latest project Rosewood Manor's Quakers & Quilts

WIP had this little kit for years. I think it had been a gift. I pulled it out last year and got it stitched and put it back in a drawer. Found it again this year when I started to decorate for Christmas, and thought won't this look nice with a few beads. When I took it to get framed they had this cute frame. People have asked and I can't find the pattern

Friday went to Craft Gallery in Findlay and picked up a couple of samplers they had framed for me. They do a great job. The first is the birth sampler for my granddaughter(Rosewood Manor) and the other is this years Mystery Sampler from LHN Song of the Seasons. I dropped off a couple more pieces to get framed at the time. I'm trying to get some of my pile of ornaments finished. Finishing is always the hardest part for me trying to get them to look perfect. Yesterday morning went to breakfast with 9 ladies I use to work with in the OR. They all look great and are doing well in retirement Several are involved in volunteering only 1 is still working part time. It was really great to see them. Today I really need to get started on Christmas cards, off I go
